Mapusa Market has always been the largest centers for trade in all of Bardez -  a region that constitutes 12 comunidades (now a taluka of 15 towns, 28 villages and 1 city) including Aldona, where we - the IRL team - are currently based. Mapusa Market, to this day, continues to be the beating heart of a thriving local economy in North Goa. Mapusa Market is no ordinary market and this issue is an ode to its diversity, vibrancy and abundance. Many existing projects and writings helped us understand and navigate the market.
